MOON CAKE 
1 c. butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
6 eggs, separated
1 2/3 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped nuts

Cream butter and sugar. Add egg yolks, vanilla; beat well. Sift flour with baking powder and add to batter. Beat egg whites until stiff and fold into batter. Pour into greased and floured 9"x13" pan. Sprinkle nuts over top and press lightly with fork. Bake at 325 degrees for 35 minutes. Sprinkle with powdered sugar. NOTE: If using cake flour add 3 tablespoons more.
