MOON CAKES (MAGDOLNA SZELET) 
1 c. butter
1 1/8 c. sugar
2 c. flour less 2 tbsp.
2 tbsp. baking powder
6 eggs
1 lemon or orange rind

TOPPING:

1 c. ground nuts
1/2 c. sugar mixed together

Cream butter and sugar until foamy; add the eggs and beat again. Then add the rest of the ingredients and mix well. Pour into 11 x 17 x 1 pan (cookie sheet) greased well. Sprinkle topping over. Bake at 350 degrees until cake pulls away from the sides of the pan.

When cooled slightly cut into crescent shape either with cookie cutter or, they can also be cut in 2 inch squares.
