DEVILS DELIGHT ICEBOX COOKIES 
2 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. cocoa
1/2 c. milk
3 c. oatmeal
1/2 c. coconut, optional
1/2 c. chopped nuts, optional

Heat sugar, butter, cocoa and milk until hot and all dissolved. Add 3 cups uncooked oatmeal and coconut and nuts if desired. Drop by teaspoons on waxed paper on cookie sheet. Refrigerate until firm. Yields 3 1/2 dozen.
