TUTTI FRUTTI TOPPING 
Into a stone jar or crock (or glass gallon jar) put one cup of good brandy, one cup sugar and one cup of ripe strawberries. Stir thoroughly. As fruit becomes available add one cup of fruit to one cup of sugar to the mixture. Use cherries, peaches, plums, pears, or berries. Cut large fruits in small pieces and make sure fruits such as cherries are pitted. You do not need to add more brandy. Stir after each addition. It is delicious over vanilla ice cream. Can also be made into preserves.
