VENIE'S SAUERKRAUT HOT DISH 
This recipe has been handed down from Venie Krause who has been dead for many years. I thought she deserved the credit for it, hence the submission name.

1 lb. hamburger
salt, pepper and onion powder, to taste
1 (32 oz.) jar sauerkraut, drained
1 (10 oz.) can cream of mushroom or cream of chicken soup
3/4 can water (use empty soup can)
1 (12 oz.) pkg. Dutch egg noodles

Preheat oven to 350°F.

Brown ground beef with salt, pepper, and onion powder, to taste. Not too much salt as the soups and sauerkraut already are salty.

Drain sauerkraut and mix into hamburger. Add soup, water and uncooked Dutch egg noodles to hamburger. Put into a casserole dish and bake at 350°F for 1 hour.

Serves 4 to 6.

Variation: May also be cooked in a slow cooker.
