LENTIL BURGERS | |
3 c. water 1 c. lentils, washed 1/2 c. uncooked rice 1 c. dry bread crumbs 1 sm. chopped onion 1 egg Put water, lentils, rice and 1 teaspoons salt in saucepan. Bring to a boil, lower heat and simmer 45 minutes or until tender. Remove from heat and let stand a few minutes. Mash well. (Do not drain.) Stir in crumbs, onion and egg. Shape into 10 patties. Coat with bread or cracker crumbs and saute in small amount of oil until brown. |
