FROSTED PUMPKIN COOKIES 
3/4 c. shortening
1 1/3 c. brown sugar
3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. ginger
2 c. canned pumpkin
1/4 c. milk
1 box powdered sugar
1 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 c. butter
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream shortening and sugars in bowl, stir in all dry ingredients. Cream together, add pumpkin. Drop onto greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 12 minutes.

ICING: Mix butter, milk, vanilla and powdered sugar together. Spread on warm cookies.
