1 1/4 c. (approx.) egg whites (about 8-10) 1 c. flour (Swans Down) 1 tsp. cream of tartar 1 1/2 c. sugar Flavorings (vanilla & almond) When sifting, put 1/2 cup sugar with flour. Sift a couple times. Beat whites until frothy. Add 1 teaspoon cream of tartar. Beat until they hold soft peaks. Add sugar about 1/4 at a time. Beat in flavorings, then fold in dry ingredients about 1/3 at a time. Pour in tube pan at 350 degrees for approximately 30 minutes. |
