BLACKBERRY PUDDING 
1 c. sugar
1/3 c. butter
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 c. milk
3 c. blackberries
1 c. sugar
2 c. boiling water

Cream sugar and butter. Add next 4 ingredients and mix well. Pour into a greased 9 or 10 inch square pan. Top with blackberries, then sprinkle with the sugar. Pour boiling water over all. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes until cake top is firm and brown (do not overcook, has a pudding sauce on bottom). Serve warm with whipped cream or ice cream.
