3 c. peaches, sliced
1/2 c. sugar
1 stick butter

BATTER:

1/2 c. sugar
3/4 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
3/4 c. milk

Heat oven to 350 degrees, melt 1 stick butter in deep baking dish (maybe 3" deep).

Pour batter over melted butter, do not stir. Put peaches on top, do not stir. Bake in 350 degree oven about 3/4 of an hour. Batter rises to top and will be crisp and brown. Serves 6.
