FRENCH FRIED ONION RINGS 
1 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 egg, beaten
1 c. milk
1 tbsp. salad oil
4 lg. onions
Oil

Sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Add milk and 1 tbsp. oil to beaten egg. Stir in dry ingredients and blend until smooth. Let stand while preparing onions.

Peel and slice onions. Separate into rings. Dip rings into batter a few at a time. Let drain before dropping into hot fat. Fry quickly and fry only a few at a time. Drain.
