PRUNELLA CAKE 
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
2 eggs
2/3 c. buttermilk or sour milk
2/3 c. stewed prunes
1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. allspice

Cream shortening, sugar and eggs. Add chopped prunes. Stir in buttermilk. Add sifted dry ingredients. Pour in 2 layer cake pans. Bake in 375 degree oven for 25 minutes.
