MINUTE SAUERBRATEN 
2 tbsp. butter
4 cube steaks
Salt & pepper
2 tbsp. chopped onion
1 c. water
1 pkg. brown gravy mix
1 tbsp. brown sugar
1 tbsp. vinegar

In fry pan heat butter; add meat and brown on both sides. Season with salt and pepper. Add onion. Cook until tender. Stir in water, gravy mix, vinegar and sugar, stirring constantly until mixture boils. Cover and simmer 10 to 15 minutes until meat is tender. 4 servings.

I always make sure I have packages of brown gravy mix and cube steak on hand because this is such a quick meal to make and well liked by every member of my family (no small feat).
