1 c. butter
1 c. peanut butter
1 c. sugar
1 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
Sugar, nuts, chocolate kisses, jam or jelly

Beat on medium the first 6 ingredients until fluffy. Add and beat on low the next 4 ingredients until well blended. Shape into 1 inch balls. Roll in sugar. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes. Immediately press nuts or candies or press with thumb and fill with jam or jelly.
