YUMMY PEAR PIE | |
1 (9 inch) unbaked pie shell 4 to 5 c. pears, peeled & sliced 1 lemon, juice 1/2 c. sugar 2 1/2 tbsp. flour 1/4 tsp. nutmeg TOPPING: 8 tbsp. butter, softened 1/2 c. brown sugar 1/2 c. flour Preheat oven to 425 degrees. In medium bowl squeeze lemon juice over pears and set aside. Mix sugar, flour and nutmeg together and sprinkle over pears to coat. Place mixture in pie shell. Cream butter, brown sugar and flour together and spread over pear mixture. Insert pie into brown paper bag. Fold edges to create a vacuum. Place on cookie sheet and bake 1 hour. |
