MRS. CAVE'S RELISH 
4 qt. green tomatoes
1 qt. onions
1 cabbage
1 bunch of celery or add 1 tsp. celery seed
3 green peppers
3 red peppers
1/2 c. salt
6 c. vinegar
6 c. sugar
1/4 c. mustard seed
1/2 tsp. ground cloves
3 tsp. cinnamon

Chop the tomatoes, onions, cabbage, celery and peppers. Cover with 1/2 cup salt and let stand overnight. Drain well. Add the vinegar, sugar, mustard seed, ground cloves, and cinnamon. Cook slowly for 1/2 hour. Seal in jars hot.
