BEST REUBEN SANDWICH | |
1 packaged Corned Beef with spices Durkee Salad Dressing Bavarian sauerkraut Baby Swiss Cheese rye bread butter for toasting Cook corned beef in Crock pot with almost enough water to cover the meat. Cook on high setting for three hours, then on low for approx. 5 hours. Remove meat from crock pot and allow to rest. When meat is cool enough to handle, thinly slice against the grain. Place Durkee brand dressing on each side of rye bread. Add one slice of the Swiss cheese, then the meat, followed by sauerkraut. The amount depends on how much you want. Place another slice of cheese then toast the sandwich. The key to this recipe is the Durkee brand Salad Dressing. This beats any Reuben I have ever had with Thousand Island dressing. Enjoy!
