I am so used to Reuben sandwiches being made with 1000 Island Dressing that I hesitated before giving this 5 stars but this is just wonderful. In fact, since I always add mustard to my Reuben, this made it perfect. I would say Durkee's completes the Reuben sandwich in a way I never considered. I did make one change the second time. I made my homemade 1000 Island with Durkee's instead of regular Mayo (Durkee's Sauce, Chili Sauce, dill weed, minced onion, minced garlic). While I would not use the dressing on a salad, I definitely thought it made a PERFECT sandwich! Thanks for sharing!

I am at a loss! I have never heard with a Reuben made with Durkee's Redhot sauce. The only true Reuben is corn beef, Swiss cheese, and 1000 island dressing. I have seen pastrami substituted in, which is decent but not authentic. Now adding Franks Durkee Red Hot sauce or mustard is just silly. A coworker and I recently ate at a deli in Panama City Florida. He choose mustard when given the choice, I begged him to try the 1,000 island. He has seen the light! Next rant...ranch with Buffalo wing's and the idiots that order it!
