1 c. shortening
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
2 eggs
1 c. coconut
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped peanuts
2 c. oatmeal
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
2 c. flour

To satisfy the chocolate lovers one bag of chocolate chips may be added.

Beat eggs, add sugars, then add soft shortening and other ingredients. Roll into balls, flatten with a glass dipped in sugar. Bake at 375 degrees.
