SHEPHERD PIE 
1 1/2 lb. med. grade ground beef
Instant mashed potatoes
1/4 c. catsup or barbecue sauce
Bread crumbs
1 can peas or mixed vegetables
1 egg
Salt and pepper

Mix ground beef with egg, some bread crumbs, oatmeal or crackers. Add a little seasoning and catsup or barbecue sauce. Mix well. Spread out in 9 inch casserole dish like a pie crust, then pour in vegetables. Spread mashed potatoes over top like whipped cream and seal the edges. Dot with butter. Bake about 45 minutes to 1 hour until nice and brown on bottom at 350 to 400 degrees.

NOTE: About 10 minutes before done, sprinkle with grated cheese and let melt.
