CHEWY BROWN SUGAR BREAD 
2 1/4 c. packed light brown sugar
2 c. self rising flour
1/2 c. butter, softened
1 tsp. vanilla
3 eggs
1 c. chopped pecans

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a saucepan, melt butter and add brown sugar; mix well. Pour into mixing bowl. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each one. Add flour; blend well. Add vanilla and pecans. Stir thoroughly. Pour batter into greased 13 x 9 pan. Bake for 30 minutes. Cool. Cut into squares.
