1 c. sugar
2/3 c. butter
1/2 tsp. salt
2/3 c. molasses
2/3 c. water
2/3 c. chopped nuts

Cook sugar, butter, molasses, and water to soft ball stage. Add nuts. Cook to hard ball stage. Add 1/4 teaspoon baking soda. Mix well. Pour in buttered cookie sheet.
