CLAM CAKES 
4 eggs, beaten
1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. clam juice
1/2 c. chopped clams
2 c. flour
1 tbsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. sugar

Beat eggs, milk, clam juice and chopped clams slightly with a spoon. Add sifted dry ingredients and mix until flour mixture disappears. Drop, by spoonfuls, into hot, deep fat. Cook 8 to 10 minutes, until golden brown.
