MOCHA TOFFEE DESSERT 
1 c. sugar
1/3 c. butter
3 eggs, separated
1 1/2 squares bitter chocolate
1/2 lb. vanilla wafers, crushed
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1/2 tsp. vanilla
Pinch salt

Cream butter and sugar well and add beaten egg yolks. Melt chocolate and add with vanilla to the batter. Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites and 2/3 cup nuts. Spread 1/2 the cookie crumbs in the bottom of shallow pan. Spoon on chocolate mixture 1" thick. Sprinkle remaining crumbs and nuts over top, cover and refrigerate for at least 24 hours. Cut into 12 squares.
