ALMOND RAISIN RICE 
1 1/3 c. onion, chopped fine
1/4 c. butter
4 c. rice (not instant)
1/3 c. raisins
1 c. slivered almonds
6 c. chicken broth
Salt and pepper to taste

In small saucepan, cook onion in butter until wilted. Stir in raisins and almonds. Add broth, salt, and pepper. Bring to boil, then add rice. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 20 minutes or until rice is done and all liquid is absorbed.
