HUNGARIAN SPONGE CAKE 
6 egg yolks
1 c. sugar
1 c. flour
2 tsp. vanilla
2 tbsp. water
6 egg whites (stiffly beaten)

Beat egg yolks with sugar. Add flavoring and water and keep beating until light and creamy. Then, by hand, fold into this mixture, the flour and stiffly beaten egg whites. Mix lightly and pour into buttered and floured pan. Bake in 350 degree oven until golden color, about 30 minutes in 11x15 inch pan. Then roll as for jelly roll.

FILLING:

1/3 lb. ground nuts
1/2 lb. sugar
A little milk
Vanilla or almond flavoring

Cook on low flame, stirring so as not to burn. When cold add 1/3 pound sweet butter and mix well. Fill and roll dough. Cover with powdered sugar or melted chocolate.
