1 1/3 c. ground beef chuck
2 eggs
2/3 c. homemade ketchup or 1/2 c. Heinz and 1/4 cup water
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. oregano
1/2 lg. onion, chopped
1/2 green pepper, chopped
3 slices stale bread, grated
1 c. milk

Mix all ingredients thoroughly adding liquid, small amount at a time. Put meat mixture in deep Corningware dish with small glass in center if baking in microwave oven. Garnish top with 1/4 cup ketchup, onion and pepper rings. Microwave on high 25 to 30 minutes or conventional oven 350 degrees for 1 hour.
