CLOVER LEAF ROLLS | |
1/2 c. warm water 2 pkgs. yeast 3/4 c. lukewarm milk 1/4 c. sugar 1 tsp. salt 1/3 c. shortening 2 eggs 4 1/4 to 4 3/4 c. flour Soak yeast in warm water for 5 minutes. Pour milk over sugar and salt in bowl. Add shortening, eggs and 1 cup flour. Mix well. Add yeast and remaining flour. Knead 5-10 minutes. Let rise in warm place 1 1/2 hours. Form rolls and place on greased baking pan or place 3 small rolls in one muffin cup. Cover and let rise again. Bake at 375 degrees for 12-15 minutes. Yield: 2 dozen rolls. |
