BARBECUED SPARERIBS | |
3-4 lbs. spareribs, cut in pieces 1 lemon 1 lg. onion 1 c. catsup 1/3 c. Worcestershire sauce 1 tsp. chili powder 1 tsp. salt 2 dashes Tabasco 2 c. water Place ribs in shallow roasting pan, meaty side up. On each piece place a slice of unpeeled lemon and a thin slice of onion. Roast in 450 degree oven for 30 minutes. Combine remaining ingredients; bring to boil and pour over ribs. Continue baking until tender in 350 degree oven, about 45 to 60 minutes. Baste ribs with sauce every 15 minutes. If sauce gets too thick, add water. Makes 3 to 4 servings. (This is a favorite of our whole family.) |
