BAKED WATER CHESTNUTS 
1 can water chestnuts (drained)
1/4 c. soy sauce
1/4 c. sugar
Slices bacon
Brown sugar

Marinate water chestnuts in soy sauce 30 to 45 minutes. Cut bacon slices into thirds. Cut large chestnuts in half. Roll chestnuts in sugar, then wrap in bacon and secure with a toothpick. Place on broiler rack and sprinkle with brown sugar. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes. Drain on paper towel and serve immediately. Can be made in the morning and reheated that night in 350 degree oven for 6 to 7 minutes.
