APPLE TORTE 
2 eggs
3/4 c. sugar
Pinch salt
2 lg. apples, diced & peeled
1/2 c. nuts (opt.)
1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. cinnamon

Beat eggs, gradually adding sugar. Sift dry ingredients. Add to mixture with nuts and apples. Beat together. Pour into lightly greased Pyrex pie plate. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes. Serve like pie with whipped cream or ice cream. I like to put it in the oven just before siting down to eat so it is hot when served.
