CHICKEN AND DUMPLINGS IN A POT | |
2 carrots, sliced 2 onions, sliced or 1 tbsp. minced 1 (3 lb.) whole chicken 2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. pepper 1 can (14 oz.) chicken broth 2 c. biscuit mix 2/3 c. milk Put carrots and onions in bottom of crock pot. Add whole chicken. Top with salt, pepper, broth. Cover and cook 8-10 hours on low. During last hour, turn crock pot to high and cook dumplings for 1 hour. Dumplings: Combine 2 cups of biscuit with 2/3 cup milk. Mix well with fork. Spoon dough onto broth. |
