CHOCOLATE ANGEL FOOD DESSERT 
1 baked angel food cake
4 eggs, separated
6 oz. pkg. chocolate chips
1 - 2 pt. whipping cream

Melt chocolate chips in top of double boiler. When melted add 2 teaspoons sugar, 1 tablespoon water and 4 egg yolks. Heat for 5 minutes more. Cool; when cool add 4 stiffly beaten egg whites; set aside. Crumble half of cake in a large dish; on top of this, add a layer of sweetened whipped cream and then a layer of the chocolate mixture. Add a layer of cake and a layer of chocolate mixture, then the remaining whipped cream. Chill 24 hours. Top with either nuts or maraschino cherries (optional).
