CHOCOLATE CARAMEL BARS 
14 oz. caramels
6 oz. bag chocolate chips
1 c. chopped nuts
3/4 c. melted butter
1 sm. can Pet milk
Swiss chocolate cake mix

Blend well cake mix, melted butter, nuts and 1/2 of small can of Pet. Spread half of this into bottom of 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 7 minutes. Cool slightly.

Melt caramels and remaining Pet in microwave until blended. Pour this over cooled first layer. Sprinkle chocolate chips on top of caramel. Spread (or place) remaining cake mixture on top (this works best if you do it by hand). Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. Cool in refrigerator to harden caramel. Cut in small bars. Makes 48 bars.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
