CHOCOLATE CARAMEL LAYER BARS 
1 pkg. Kraft caramels (50)
1/3 c. evaporated milk
1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix
1/3 c. evaporated milk
3/4 c. melted butter
1 c. nuts
1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips

Melt caramels and 1/3 cup milk in double boiler. By hand, mix cake mix, 1/3 cup milk, butter and nuts.

Spread 1/2 of cake mixture in greased 9x13 inch pan. Bake 6 minutes at 350 degrees. Remove and sprinkle with chocolate chips.

Spread on caramel mixture. Put the rest of cake mixture on top. Bake another 18-20 minutes at 350 degrees.
