BREAKFAST SAUSAGE CASSEROLE | |
6 slices bread, crumbled (remove crusts if desired) 2 lbs. sausage roll 2 tsp. mustard 2 c. shredded cheddar cheese 6 eggs, slightly beaten 2 c. milk 1 c. light cream 1/2 tsp. salt Dash pepper & nutmeg 2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce Cover bottom of buttered 9"x13" casserole or pan with bread. Cook sausage; drain fat. Mix sausage with mustard. Sprinkle sausage evenly over bread. Sprinkle cheese over sausage. (If casserole will not be cooked same day. Stop here and freeze sausage and bread mixture.) Combine remaining ingredients and pour over casserole. Bake in 350 degree oven for 30 to 35 minutes or until set in middle. Serves 6. |
