1/2 c. butter
1/3 c. sugar
Yolk of 1 egg with 1/4 c. milk
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda

FILLING:

1 egg white
3/4 c. almond paste
1/3 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
3 tbsp. butter
3 whole eggs
Few drops of food coloring (optional)

Cream butter, add sugar, and the rest of the ingredients. Pat into place on greased sheet and chill. Then spread 1/2 cup of a jam.

Blend the filling ingredients and pour over jam and bake at 350 degrees for 35- 40 minutes. Spread with a chocolate frosting.
