COCONUT MACAROONS 
2 egg whites
1/2 tsp. vanilla
Dash salt
2/3 c. sugar
1 1/3 c. flaked coconut

Beat egg whites with vanilla and salt until soft peaks form. Gradually add sugar, beating until stiff but not dry. Fold in coconut. Drop rounded teaspoonfuls on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 325 degrees for about 20 minutes. Immediately remove from cookies to rack. Makes 18.
