CLAM CHOWDER (White) 
1 c. potatoes, diced
1 sm. onion, diced
1 tbsp. butter
2 tbsp. flour
3 c. whole milk
Pinch of pepper
1/2 tsp. salt or taste
1 (8 oz.) can minced clams

Simmer potatoes and onion together in small amount of water until tender. Melt butter in small pan, then blend in flour making a smooth paste.

Drain juice from clams and blend into butter and flour mixture. Add to cooked potatoes and onions. Stir in milk and clams. Heat to serving temperature, but do not boil.
