CHERRY NUT CRUNCH PIE 
1 1/2 c. self-rising flour
1 1/2 sticks butter
2 tbsp. sugar
1 c. chopped pecans

Mix all ingredients well forming a ball. Pat ball into an 8x13 pan. Bake at 350 for 20 minutes. Cool in refrigerator.

FILLING:

1 box Dream Whip (mix)
2 c. powdered sugar
1 tbsp. sugar
Cornstarch
1 (8 oz.) cream cheese
1 can pitted cherries
1/2 tsp. red food color

Prepare and mix one box Dream Whip as directed on package. Add 8 ounce Philadelphia cream cheese and mix well. Then add 2 cups powdered sugar mixing well. Spread over crust and chill.

Drain 1 can pitted cherries. Thicken juice with cornstarch. Add 1 tablespoon sugar to juice. Add 1/2 teaspoon red food color and cherries. Spoon over pie and chill. (Pie is best if chilled overnight.)
