TURTLE CAKE | |
German chocolate cake mix 3/4 c. melted butter 3/4 c. evaporated milk (Milnot) 1 (6 oz.) caramel 1/3 c. evaporated milk 1 c. milk chocolate chips 3/4 c. chopped pecans Mix first 3 ingredients with mixer until smooth and light. Pour 1/2 of batter in 8 x 11 inch cake pan that has been greased and floured. Bake 15 minutes at 375 degrees. Take out and pour melted caramels (melt caramels in microwave with 1/3 cup milk, evaporated) over cake. Add chocolate chips, milk and pecans then pour over caramels. Spread with rest of batter and bake about 20-25 minutes longer or until cake is done. |
