DUTCH APPLE PIE | |
1 unbaked 9 inch pie shell 6 c. sliced apples 2 tsp. lemon juice 2/3 c. sugar 2 tbsp. flour Mix sugar and flour in large mixing bowl. Add sliced apples. Toss to mix well. Sprinkle with lemon juice. Place in pie shell. TOPPING: 2/3 c. flour 1/2 c. sugar 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 1/3 c. butter, softened Mix flour, sugar and cinnamon in large bowl. Using a pastry blender cut in butter until mixture resembles large crumbs. Sprinkle over apples. Bake at 350 degrees until crust is brown, 45 to 50 minutes. |
