Beat 4 whole eggs with a pint of sweet milk, 1/2 cup sugar and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Top the pie with nutmeg. Bake the filled pie shell at 425 degrees for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 degrees. Bake until center is set or a knife comes out clean. This is an old recipe. This pie is excellent.
