BANANA CAKE 
2 c. bananas, mashed
6 tbsp. buttermilk
3 c. flour (self-rising)
3/4 c. Crisco
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
2 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. nuts (pecans)

Beat eggs with sugar; add Crisco, bananas, and buttermilk. Mix flour, soda, and nuts. Mix all ingredients together well and cook in oven at 350 degrees until done.

ICING:

1 stick butter
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1 c. chopped walnuts (California)
1 box confectioners' sugar
1 tbsp. maple flavoring

Cream cheese and butter together, then add confectioners' sugar and walnuts. Spread on cake.
