LEMON POUND CAKE 
2 c. butter
3 c. sugar
6 eggs
4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
2 oz. lemon extract

Cream butter, sugar and eggs. Stir in flour, baking powder and lemon extract. Bake at 250 to 300 degrees for 2 to 2 1/2 hours. For high altitude, add 2 tablespoons water, reduce baking powder by 1/8 teaspoon, and reduce sugar by 1 tablespoon.
