BUTTER PECAN BREAD 
3/4 stick butter
1/4 c. light brown sugar
2 eggs
2 1/2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
2 tbsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1 c. buttermilk
1 c. finely chopped pecans

Cream butter and brown sugar together. Add eggs, beating in one at a time. Sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg. Add to creamed mixture alternately with buttermilk. Add pecans and mix well.

Pour into buttered loaf pan. Bake in preheated 325 degree oven approximately 55 minutes. Turn onto wire rack to cool.
