HOT GERMAN POTATO SALAD 
6 med. potatoes
1/2 lb. bacon
1/2 c. reserved bacon drippings
1 c. onion, chopped
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. celery seed
2 tbsp. sugar
1 tbsp. flour
2 tbsp. vinegar
1/2 c. water

Cook whole potatoes in salted, boiling water until tender. Saute bacon until crisp and crumble. Saute onion in reserved dripping until transparent and golden. Add salt, pepper, celery seed, sugar and flour and stir until blended. Combine vinegar and water and add to hot mixture. Real hot potatoes and slice into salad bowl. Pour hot mixture over potatoes and toss lightly.
