SOFT CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES 
1/2 c. butter, softened
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. packed light brown sugar
1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 tbsp. light corn syrup
2 tbsp. water
2 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. chocolate chips

Cream butter, shortening, brown sugar, sugar, eggs, corn syrup, water, and vanilla; beat well. Combine flour, baking soda, and salt; add to creamed mixture. Beat well and stir in chocolate chips.

Drop by teaspoon on lightly greased cookie sheet; bake at 375 degrees for 8-10 minutes or until lightly browned.
