SPAGHETTI BAKE | |
1 1/2 lb. hamburger 1 c. chopped onions 1 clove garlic (minced) 1 (28 oz.) can tomatoes (cut up) 1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce 1 (4 oz.) can mushrooms (drained) 2 tbsp. sugar 1 1/2 tsp. dried oregano (crushed) 8 oz. spaghetti broken, cooked and drained 1 to 2 c. shredded Mozzarella cheese 1/3 c. grated Parmesan cheese 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. dried basil (crushed) In dutch oven cook beef, onion, garlic until beef is browned; drain off grease. Stir in undrained tomatoes, sauce, mushrooms, sugar, oregano, salt and basil. Bring meat mixture to boil, simmer gently uncovered 20 to 25 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat and stir in spaghetti. Place half of spaghetti-meat sauce in 13 x 9 x 2 baking dish. Sprinkle with shredded Mozzarella and Parmesan. Top with remaining spaghetti-meat sauce. Bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes. Serves 12. |
