BAKED BEANS 
1 1/2 pkgs. pea beans
1 c. molasses
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. dry mustard
1 shake pepper
Salt pork, about the size of an onion
1 lg. onion, chopped

Soak beans overnight. Run the water off. Cover the beans with fresh water and 1 teaspoon baking soda and bring to a boil. Dilute the molasses with some of the water. Mix molasses, salt pork, onion, spices and make sure all is covered with water. Cook for 4 hours on high in a crock pot, and in all cook 10 hours.
